About
I am an actor, theatre-maker and facilitator. My interest is in making new work and developing a practice of facilitation that centres on building community and creativity.
I’m part of the collective behind Sharing & Caring Club, a low-cost, weekly space for artists of all disciplines to share skills and projects. This happens each Wednesday at Theatre Deli (would you like to come along?)
As as Associate Artist for Living Pictures I help to organise an annual retreat to Coed Dylan, in Wales, where participants camp on the land and spend time on a scene study, doing workshops, meditating, cooking together.
As a theatre-maker and performer I was part of the team behind Tess, by Ondervinden, which premiered at Edinburgh Festival Fringe before touring pubs and village halls in South-West England. I was lucky enough to work with Kirsty Housley (Misty, The Encounter) to adapt the novel War and War for The Pleasance, Islington. I also worked as assistant director to Complicite associate Joyce Henderson for Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, Theatre Peckham.
I am currently in the process of two projects: Voice in the Thunder, by Simon Lys, dir. Naomi Wirthner, and a devised piece of theatre about imagination and fear, called Imogen Dutt.
Polly trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, on the Collaborative and Devised Theatre course.
